"I put Latitude in our ceiling when we were re-roofing.  The beauty of it was it was so easy to install - no putting on of protective clothing, cutting was not a problem and laying it in a confined space was not a problem also.  Brilliant to install.  The best decision I've made in a while!'

Hello! I did not know if you forgot or not! Thank you for remembering! I will be looking for the shears in the near future. I was equally surprised to see you at the Tokyo Home and Builders Show.  It takes a lot of leg work to promote your product and it seems like you are doing it. I was originally a little concerned about wool insulation but it seems like a very good product and it should be easy to use. I have spent a life time being irritated with glass wool insulation and cellulose fiber insulation. Finally there is a product that is natural and comfortable to work with. Thank you for your attention to detail. I will let you know when our stock of wool needs replenishing!

Thanks again

Cathy, Auckland

“We knew the thick fluffy wool insulation would make our old home warmer, which it certainly has. What we didn’t expect, was the ease of installation. It took two of us just a couple of hours to get the job done, and required no protective gear, even though we were working in close contact with the insulation due to the confined ceiling space. We realised as we worked, how unpleasant and possibly unsafe the job would have been had we been using fibreglass. Further, because the Latitude is not floppy, it made it easier to push it into the eave areas, which we could not reach into, so we achieved a better coverage. I happily would recommend your product to anyone installing insulation in an older house”

"I've noticed a huge difference in warmth since our insulation went in. Now we can light the log-burner without feeling as though most of it is escaping through the walls and ceiling. It was so easy to install and any small off-cuts we had were snaffled by our dog who loved curling up in them and using them for a bed. I was stoked with the quick delivery and the fact that the pieces were cut to size so there was hardly any mucking around from our end. I've been recommending Latitude to others as a completely superior product to others on the market."

Hi Kaye, I just wanted to let you know that the delivery turned up ok on Friday and I installed the ceiling insulation on the weekend. The product was very easy and nice to work with - sadly we are not living in the house for a few more months but our tenant commented that he noticed an immediate difference at night. A month or so down the track we will be looking to order insulation for the walls. regards, Steve

Many thanks for your support, the studio is so very much warmer, even though we have had the hardest frosts Nelson has seen in many a year. There have been 3 phone enquiries this winter asking our opinion of your wool ; of course we can only be positive.

I saw Latitude at the Home Show and chose it because it is a natural product, easy to handle with no negatives from the handling and the price is right. I emailed Graeme and he made all the arrangements, kept in touch and the product was delivered as expected. We always have to have things delivered so it doesn’t really matter where they come from. It had been cut to size so it was easy to install. It is hard to cut across the grain with scissors so I ended up laying the bats across the beams and got the same effect. We would use it again and I have been recommending it to others.

I was looking for wool insulation without toxic flame retardant materials on the internet. Also I asked for advice. The ordering process was over several months as we were uncertain about the timing with the house. First wrote to Latitude and they sent a price list. Then we emailed them. The woman was very helpful when we were talking about dimensions. She gave good instructions about how to take the right measurements.

The installation was very good and was done by my husband and father and myself. My father was a builder and was very impressed with the products. He has been telling everyone about it. Builders just do not seem to have heard about it. The Latitude people gave us tips about easy ways to cut the material. It was good for our builders to see the product and to see us installing it.

We like supporting small NZ companies so it is good to use the Latitude product. It isn't that much more expensive than fibreglass and is not enough to put you off using it. We would use it again and are recommending it to others.

I have worked in the construction industry and was aware that you could get natural products. So I went on the internet and looked at all the websites. I read all the stuff you have on your website but I selected Latitude because it was made in the South Island. I rang up and worked it all out with the woman who takes the orders. She was very good and helped us to minimise transportation costs. I was surprised to see it all baled up and I got one ceiling bale too much – but that’s ok – we will use it.

We had it cut to size and most of the time this sizing was accurate. Because this is an old house, sometimes the gaps varied. You can tear with the grain but cutting across it is very difficult.

The product is doing what the company claims it will do. Our dehumidifier doesn’t come on nearly so much. When it is very cold the humidity drops. We have put the Latitude in the ceiling and under the floor and we do have a higher temperature in the house. We have our diesel boiler on one and a half to two hours less each day and the house is dryer and warmer. The house is a 65 years old and two stories so the product is working well. We are very pleased with it. We do tell others about it and a builder has gone away with all the literature. You can use our experience if you like to tell others.

I had been searching online for an alternative to fibreglass and found the Latitude product and their office was just below me here. I had been worried about polystyrene foam as this is flammable and fibreglass sheds. Kaye made it so easy, she was a delight to work with. She even loaned me shears to use for the cutting. Had it cut to size and shipped here. I wanted to use it for a band practice room I was building. I had it cut into large pieces, which I stapled to the walls as acoustic insulation. It works well. I wasn’t sure if it would but it does. It is very helpful to have it cut to size. I would use it again and for heat insulation too and I would recommend it. Good product and company.

A friend told us about it and we found them in the Yellow Pages. We wanted to leave the walls unlined at the moment and having the wool insulation exposed was much nicer than having fibreglass. I installed it myself and found it good to use. We didn’t have it last winter and it was a mild winter but we wouldn’t have got through this winter without it. I just ordered it over the phone and went to pick it up from the Nelson depot. It is easier for us to pick things up than have them delivered. I was pleased with the service. I found it easy to install and easy to cut with a good pair of sharp scissors. I have told a number of people about it so definitely recommend it to others.

I did a Google search on the internet. I was looking to support a product made with wool because this material is readily available here and I hate working with fibreglass. It was very easy to purchase. Kaye was very helpful and good and knew what she was talking about. The delivery was good. It was easy to use and I was able to cut it with a sharp knife. We were putting the insulation in a renovation and the measurements were all different. I would use it again.

We saw Latitude at the Home Show. It was good to be able to see it and handle it and have that one-to-one conversation. My husband may have known about it as he is in the painting and decorating business. He was also looking for an alternative because he has asthma and cannot handle fibreglass. To order we just rang up and did it all over the phone. Delivery was fine except that the delivery firm was supposed to ring and arrange a time to deliver. Instead a truck just turned up with this big bale of wool. It was lucky we were home or we would have ended up with the bale in front of the garage or some other inconvenient place. I helped my husband by handing the wool pieces to him and there was no difficulty in installing it. He used a knife to cut it. Yes we would purchase it again and recommend it.
